Greetings Hidden Valley Optimist,
As we enter the new optimist year, I want to first congratulate Mary Martin-Jones and her team on an
outstanding year. I also want to congratulate Mary on continuing our club achievements by becoming a
Distinguished President. It was a great year and we want to continue that legacy.
Our objectives are:
- Attract and maintain young adult club members.
- Review dues structure - To attract young members.
- Get our inactive members involved in Club functions.
- Continue to reach out to the youth in the Charlotte communities.
During the 2006-2007 Optimists year we want to reach as many youth as possible. but if we help one youth
to achieve their goal, then progress is being made.
We will continue to be involved with other segments in the community, such as our annual Seniors'
Christmas Dinner at the Hall House.
I want to thank each of you who al graciously accepted your role in leadership ans as you meet other
members, who are currently inactive, please encourage them to become involved with HVO activities. I look
forward to working with each of you this year to achieve our objectivies
